1. DO THE TOUR’S PRICE INCLUDES ENTRANCE FEES?

No, the tour price does not include any entrance fees, the operator will inform you of the admission tickets costs in the first email

 

2. WILL I SKIP THE LINE BOOKING WITH YOU?

Yes! We guarantee pre-purchased tickets in order to skip the line

 

3. HOW TO BOOK A TOUR?

Send us an email or a request form from our site, an operator will answer as soon as possible providing all the detailed information about the tour (lenght, price, what is included, etc...). Then you will answer your decision (which tour, when take it, what time) about the tour and the operator will email you how to conclude the booking.

 

4. WHY THE OPERATOR ASK ME THE MOBILE TELEPHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESS IN ROME?

It is important that we will be able to contact you by telephone in case of last minute communications. Please allow us to be able to contact you.

 

5. ARE YOUR TOURS SUITABLE FOR AGED PEOPLE OR CHILDREN OR PREGNANT WOMEN?

Yes! Our tours are walking tours suitable for all type of people. Being a private tour the guide will be happy to adjust the tour in accordance to your needs.

 

6. DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARD?

No, you will pay cash at the end of the tour

 

7. IS THE TRANSFER INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE?

No, we suggest to reach the meeting point by puclic transportation or taxi. We can arrange a transfer service but it will have an extra cost.

 

8. I HAVE READ GOOD REVIEWS OF A PARTICULAR GUIDE, CAN I BOOK THE TOUR WITH HIM/HER?

We will gladly take into consideration your preferences but we can not guarantee a particular guide availability. We assure that all our guides are fully licensed, very competent, professional and fluent in English.

 

9. DOES YOUR COLOSSEUM TOUR INCLUDE THE DUNGEON?

Our standard Colosseum and Ancient Rome tour does not include the dungeon, it takes at least 1 hour to visit there and honestly we do not think that is worth the time and price, we definetely prefer to dedicate the time to the Emperor Palace instead. Although this is our suggestion, we can customize the tour on your specific request if needed.

 

10. WHAT IS THE VATICAN DRESS CODE?

The Vatican dress code is quite strict, please no skirts above the knee, no shorts, no bare shoulders (i.e., tank tops or sleeveless blouses). Knees and shoulders must be covered. You can take a silk scarf or something to cover your shoulders/legs whilst in St Peter and the Sistine Chapel then take it off again when you come out.

 

11. WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE PAPAL AUDIENCE?

On Wednesdays during the Papal Audience St Peter’s Basilica is closed, therefore we suggest to book the afternoon tour (at 2pm or 3pm).

 

12. CAN YOU PROVIDE WHEELCHAIRS OR STROLLERS?

For the Vatican tour we can rent wheelchairs. For the others tour, especially the Colosseum and Ancient Rome some paths can be quite difficult. Being a private tour if you advice us in advance we can suggest alternative itineraries

 

13. WHAT HAPPENS IF A SITE IS CLOSED ON THE DAY WE BOOKED THE TOUR?

Even though we try to foreseen closing (National holidays, spacial mass, employees strikes or assemblies, ect…) sometimes some sites close and/or change the opening hours unexpectedly. We regret this but it is not our fault. In these rare cases the tour will not be cancelled, we will advice you via email and our guide will modify the itinerary and give you as complete a tour as possible working with the circumstances given

 

14. I HAVE PURCHASED THE VATICAN MUSEUMS ADMISSION TICKETS BUT NOT RECEIVED THE VOUCHER, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Check the spam folder, some email servers see the email from the vatican museums website as spam and reject it. If you have checked but is not there neither you can ask to have it re-sent via vatican museums website (same website where you purchased the admission tickets)

 

15. DO I HAVE TO PRINT THE VATICAN MUSEUMS ADMISSION TICKETS

If you have a smatphone you can show the tickets from it, if not it would be better to printi it. Otherwise our guide will print the admission tickets for you or show it from the smartphone

 

16. ARE THERE DISCOUNTS FOR CHILDREN?

Signal the presence of children in you first email and/or request form, the operator will automatically apply the discount.

 

17. WHEN IS BETTER TO BOOK?

We suggestb to book a month/couple of weeks in advance. Our guides will not be available at the last moment and even if they are sometimes the admission tickets are sold out (that happen often for the Vaticna Museums and the Borghese Gallery).

 

18. AT WHAT TIME IS BETTER TO TAKE THE TOURS?

We suggest you start the tour at 9.30 am or 2 pm since attractions in Rome are less crowded in the early morning and in the afternoon.

20.CAN YOU PLEASE ADVICE ON THE GRATUITY CUSTOM?

If you have been satisfied of the tour you can give a 10-15% tip. You can also indicate for whom the tip is intended, ie.: in a restaurant sometimes you will pay directly at the cash, there you can say “the tip is to…” indicating the waiter who served you.
